Therapy Journeys

1
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Client led therapy sessions tailored to your individual needs and situation.
These sessions utilize a predominately free floating psychodynamic approach, with the flexibility to address any issues impacting your quality of life and wellbeing as they arise, and work towards creating lasting change and growth.
2
Working through
loss and grief
Loss can take many forms, whether it is the loss of a loved one, a sense of identity, the end of a relationship, change in employment, or something else entirely.

Together we can work through and begin to make sense of what this loss means to you and how to grow and heal from it in order to move forwards in your life.
3
Understanding Identity
This is a safe and confidential space to explore and grow a deeper understanding of self, what has impacted you and who you want to be.

This might involve unpacking constructs around gender and sexuality, working through internalised biases (i.e. internalised misogyny or homophobia, preconceived stereotypes etc) that are getting in the way of you living your life or it might be about figuring out who you are after a significant change in life such as a diagnosis or change in role (such as parenthood or a change in relationship or work status).
4
Moving through Trauma
Trauma can take many forms and be difficult to put into words. This might have been a singular event or multiple, cumulative experiences. Together we can work towards finding a shared language to understand your experiences and how this has impacted you.

We will work at your pace to explore the impact that trauma may have had on you specifically, i.e. nightmares, flashbacks, dissociation, anxiety, depression, anger, shame.
Working with a safe, effective and compassionate approach to help you move forwards after traumatic experiences and built resilience for managing challenges in the future.
5
Stress, Compassion Fatigue, Burnout and
Vicarious Trauma
Work-related mental health conditions can be particularly hard to acknowledge. This includes paid, unpaid, voluntary and support based work.

Those in caring positions, whether it's professionally or personally, can be particularly susceptible to compassion fatigue and it's normal. Are you feeling more irritable, less patient, apathetic, and generally exhausted?

Let's talk about it.
